Muncle is the Mr Hyde of a polite, down to earth and honest working twenty something individual.
Not in a science lab, but at the back of a London administration office one groundhog day after the next, Mike Griffiths found himself forging a collection of frustrations that needed a voice. Worn down, anxious and all too familiar with his overdraft, Mike cut himself off from the city to return to his parent’s house, lock the door to his birth righted bedroom and piece together his life in song form.
Everyday objects, novelty observations and dreams are blended with an unchanged childlike imagination, covering the monotony of everyday adult routine and the relentless over-thinking that seems to come with it. Muncle transforms what many would consider to be the ‘very ordinary’ into something wondrous and to be celebrated with guitars and drums.
